The Mimentum blog is derived from business consultations with small businesses in Australia and members of the general public expressing concerns.
Recently we have been asked to respond more and more as representatives and advocates on behalf of small businesses and members of the public voicing their concerns. Unfortunately, with Australian businesses outsourcing work overseas and reducing staff, customer service is deteriorating and consumers are becoming increasingly frustrated by the failure of larger businesses to honour agreements and provide the products and services they advertise in a timely manner. Since the grossly incompetent  ASIC took over many consumer functions and the various ombudsman’s offices lack the ability to enforce rulings, a need for the ordinary consumers to  have a voice has arisen.
